CHARLES PEARSON

For more than 30 years, Charlie Pearson has dedicated his life to helping people build confidence, develop practical self-defense skills, and become the best version of themselves through martial arts.

Charlie began training at just 13 years old in Taekwondo, eventually earning his 4th Degree Black Belt and becoming one of the top-ranked competitors in the United States. His passion for finding the most effective martial arts led him to study Muay Thai, Filipino Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and what would eventually become Mixed Martial Arts.

As one of the Northwest’s early MMA pioneers, Charlie competed professionally throughout the world, earning victories and championships in organizations including World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC), Hook-N-Shoot, and Professional Pankration. His career includes appearances in Hawaii’s SuperBrawl, Japan’s Shooto, and the prestigious Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC).

While Charlie is proud of his own accomplishments, he considers his greatest achievement the success of his students. Over the years, he has coached dozens of professional fighters—including champions and UFC veterans—and has helped countless amateur competitors earn championship titles.

Today, Charlie’s passion is helping everyday people. Whether you’re a complete beginner, looking to improve your fitness, searching for practical self-defense, or preparing for competition, Charlie is committed to creating a welcoming environment where every student can grow in confidence, skill, and character.

“Martial arts isn’t just about learning how to fight, it’s about becoming stronger, more confident, and better prepared for life.” -Charles Pearson
